Senior Civil & Structural Technician
A fantastic opportunity is immediately available for an ambitious and driven Senior Civil & Structural CAD Technician to become a leading part of a highly regarded, independent engineering consultancy based in Swansea.
We are looking to welcome the successful applicant to play an important part in the detailing and modelling of a wide range of projects delivered across the residential, commercial and industrial sectors and have developed a strong reputation for delivering high quality work for its client base.

• Hold either an ONC/OND or HNC/HND in Civil or Structural Engineering
To be considered for this Senior Civil & Structural CAD Technician role you will:
• Have a minimum of +7 years' experience within a consultancy-based role.
• Have experience of managing a team of CAD Technicians.
• Have a thorough knowledge of industry drafting standards.
• Experienced with working with steel, concrete, timber and masonry
• Experienced in drafting underground drainage including S104 applications, SUDS and Highways Section 38 and 278 Applications.
• Be proficient in the use of AutoCAD with proven track record in delivering high standards of draughtsmanship
• Experience with Revit, Navisworks/Walkinside is desirable though not essential
• Strong IT skills, including Office 365, Microsoft Excel and Word and excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience of Using Microsoft Sharepoint preferable
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Have a driving licence and use of car
Key responsibilities of this Senior CAD Technician role include but not limited to:
• Play an important part in the detailing and modelling of a wide range of building structures projects
• Liaise closely with engineers to ensure accurate drawing representation
• Aid the development of more junior team members
• Carry out steel and concrete layout drawings
• Reinforcement detailing and scheduling
• Aid the development of more junior team members
• Attending Design team meetings
