Civil & Structural CAD Technician
An opportunity is immediately available for an ambitious and driven Civil & Structural CAD Technician to develop their experience and become part of a highly regarded, independent engineering consultancy based in Swansea.

• Hold either an ONC/OND or HNC/HND in Civil or Structural Engineering
To be considered for this Civil & Structural CAD Technician role you will:
Role and Responsibilities:
• Assist the Senior CAD Technician and be responsible for producing accurate project drawings within allocated budgets
• Assist with producing Bills of Material
• Assist with issuing of Project Documentation
• Able to collaborate and coordinate with all members of the design team, internally and externally.
• Assistance with fee proposals / allocating internal budgets
• Understanding and implementing the company Quality Management Systems
• Assisting Senior CAD Technician to meet workload and meet challenging deadlines.
Experience/Qualifications:
• Have a minimum 3-5years experience as a Civil and Structural CAD Technician working within a consulting engineering design office on civil engineering and building structures projects (residential, commercial & industrial)
• Fully conversant in AutoCAD (2D and 3D)
• Have a good knowledge of industry drafting standards.
• Knowledge and some experience in drafting underground drainage including S104 applications, SUDS and Highways (Section 38 and 278 Applications), reinforced concrete detailing and steelwork detailing.
• HNC, HND or equivalent in relevant field
• Experience with REVIT and knowledge of the BIM process
• Experience of using Navisworks/Walkinside
• Strong IT skills, including Office 365, Microsoft Excel and Word and excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience of Using Microsoft Sharepoint preferable
